Call for abstracts for speakers

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES – INVITED SPEAKERS

Deadline: 7 November 2025

As part of the NOFSA-IOF-ESCEO Congress Scientific Programme, we kindly request that all invited speakers submit an abstract for their presentation. These abstracts will form part of the official online abstract book.

Commitment:

  • Submission of an abstract confirms your agreement to present your session at the congress as part of the official programme.

Format & Content

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Maximum length: 2000 characters (approx. 350 words) excluding title, authors, and affiliations.
  • Please structure your abstract using the following headings where applicable:
    • Objective(s)
    • Material and Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion(s)
    • References / Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • Figures or tables may be included, provided they meet the following:
    • Resolution: 300 dpi
    • File types: gif, jpg, png
    • Images will be reduced to a width of 8 cm (with the initial ratio).
  •  

Style

  • Titles should clearly reflect the content of your talk (in CAPITALS).
  • Avoid excessive use of abbreviations (please define at first mention).
  • Commercial trade names are not permitted – use generic/chemical names.
  • Tables/figures should be kept to a minimum to preserve space for text.

Disclosure of Interest

In line with accreditation requirements, all speakers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. A declaration slide should also be included in your presentation.

Editing and Submission

  • Abstracts may be edited online until the submission deadline.
  • Once submitted, changes cannot be made after 15 October 2025.

Confirmation

A confirmation email will be sent once your abstract has been successfully submitted. This serves as your record of submission.
